The Weekend We Ate All The Things.
Instead of our normal weekend lookbook, I thought it would be fun to give you a larger peek inside this past weekend’s Atlanta Food & Wine Festival!
On Thursday morning we packed up our bags and caught a flight to Atlanta for the festival. This was our first year there and we had no idea what to expect. We were going as part of a larger social media team for the event (which just so happened to also consists of my brother-in-laws!) so with cameras in tow, we were ready for whatever the weekend had in store.
Now, I am not going to lie to you, I love food AND wine just as much as the next girl, but I wasn’t expecting to be completely blown away by the event. There were over 12,000 people in attendance, including all of our favorite rockstar Southern chefs. From the moment we walked into the Loews Hotel, where the event was held, the bottles of bubbly just never stopped poppin’. It was a weekend I will never forget!
We met so many wonderful people, tasted more Southern food than I thought was possible, and BONUS, we took loads of culinary and cocktail classes, walking away with tons of knowledge on subjects from champagne to wine to Southern Cuisine.
If you follow us on Snapchat you got to see a glimpse into the classes that were taught by incredible sommeliers and award winning chefs. It was an experience that I am you couldn’t get anywhere else. It was straight Southern magic!
Welcome basket from Mandy Kellogg Rye
Our gift basket that was waiting in our hotel room upon our arrival. There’s little I love more in life than a welcome basket.
The first night we stopped by the Vineyard In The City (they quite litterally built a vineyard in the city, it was unreal.) for a celebratory glass of prossecco under the twinkle lights, before heading to dinner where we took a tour of Southern Cuisine.
The next morning we had breakfast on the picture-perfect terrace decorated by Ballard Designs. It was such a bright and sunny morning, it was the perfect spot for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat before we started our classes!

Each night they opened up the tasting tents in the park where T-O-N-S of chefs, restaurants, and spirit companies were whipping up amazing eats and drinks… it was like an adult Disney World. All kinds of magical, proof here.
And of course, on Sunday, we went out with a bang! This is what I like to call BRUNCH on BRUNCH. Holy. Let’s just say that there was fried cornbread French toast… need I say more?
And, before we reluctantly packed up our bags to we did one last toast on the terrace! It truly was a weekend I won’t ever forget!
If you are interested in finding out more about the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival (and you should be!) hope on over to their website. Trust me when I say, you are going to want to get yourself there next year!
P.S. Snapchat Questions:
Over the weekend I got a few questions about my outfit snaps, so I wanted to makes sure and include them in this post for you! The only thing that isn’t linked in this post is this maxi dress. It was a Liberty of London for Target find fromY-E-A-R-S ago… but I found this one, and it’s similar!
