I hope you all had a wonderful and restful weekend!
Here is just a peek at what I was up to”¦
PHOTO 1: Philadelphia Flower Show
On Saturday morning, we packed up our bags and headed out to Philadelphia to attended The Flower Show with our friends at FTD, and I’ve got to be honest with you, I wasn’t even a little bit prepared for what was in store. As soon as we walked in, we were BLOWN AWAY by the sheer scale of the event. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like it! It is hands down one of the coolest experiences we’ve gotten the chance to do. If you are in the Philadelphia area or are able to save up for a plane ticket to see it next year, I’d HIGHLY recommend it. The whole show takes over a year to plan, countless famous floral designers and thousands of volunteers. If you are a flower lover like me, then you will love it, I promise. Mark it in your calendar for next year right now!

When FTD asked if I’d join Andrea Ancel, their lead designer, on stage at the flower show this year, I couldn’t say “YES!” fast enough. I love floral design and jumped at the opportunity to learn more from Andrea. We had the best time, Andrea worked her magic, I asked 1,000 questions, and she taught us how to make an extra special floral design. I’ve got to be real, I can not WAIT to get back to our local flower shop and try out a few of my newly learned tricks! If you are interested, feel free to watch our talk over on Facebook. Andrea is seriously talented…it’s definitely worth a look.

One of the things we make an effort to do when we are visiting a new place is try out a local coffee shop. We are coffee people, clearly, so it’s something we always really look forward to! This trip to PA was so quick, less than 48 hrs, so we wanted to make sure we squeezed in at least one place while we were in town. Luckily there was a local coffee shop right around the corner from our hotel. After looking it up on Yelp and realizing how ADORABLE it was, we made a plan to go, and I am so glad we did! We went for breakfast on Sunday after our workout for avocado toast, smoked salmon, and fancy swirly lattes. The staff was amazing, and the place itself was literally so cute. If you are near a Bluestone Lane Coffee it’s a must stop, you’ll love it!
Such a fun weekend trip, now it’s time to get back to work! Happy Monday, friends!
