I hope you all had a wonderful and fun-filled weekend!
Here is just a peek at what I was up to”¦
PHOTO 1. More Plants….
We (ahem, Ryan has) have been working SO hard on getting out backyard in shape these last few months, and it is starting to finally feel like we are going to be able to finish this project. I cannot wait! We’ve hit the milestone of being able to actually start planting plants, which feels HUGE. So needless to say, we spent the better part of our Saturday working on the backyard. I’ve got to be honest with you, potting plants is my favorite, so it hardly feels like work.
PHOTO 2. Mother’s Day Brunch
On Sunday we did Mother’s Day up big! We had my family over after church for a big brunch, and then we cleaned up and had Ryan’s family over for dinner. I felt a little like we were running a bed and breakfast, and I loved every single second of it. There is nothing quite as fun as spoiling your favorite ladies!
P.S. I of course made these for brunch, and they were a HIT!
PHOTO 3. A Good Read
I have just about finished Maria Goff’s new book Love Lives Here and it’s been such an wonderful read. I am working on a post all about what I’ve been reading for you later this month, but this book is 100% going in the “must read pile”. It’s been such an encouraging read, kind of like a big hug.
