Photo 1: Home Sweet Home

After a busy week in NYC it was so nice to spend Saturday and Sunday at home. I absolutely love to travel and jump at any and every chance I get to hop on a plane, but there is nothing quite like being at home. This past weekend was full of folding laundry, catching up with family, running errands, and gardening. It was such a wonderful few days!

Photo 2: Impromptu Baking

On Saturday afternoon I whipped up a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. Ryan had mentioned before walking out the door to Home Depot that he wished we had some cookies in the house! His trips to Home Depot look a lot like my trips to Target, long and expensive (ha!). So I knew I had enough time to make a batch of homemade cookies before he got home. By the time he walked back in the house (with arms holding bags of who knows what!) the freshly baked chocolate chip cookie smell was in full force!

Kiss Me I'm Brazilian OPI - Ashley Brooke Designs

Photo 3: DIY Mani-Pedi

For the better part of 2 years I’ve been getting my nails done professionally and loving every single second of it, but recently I have had this weird craving to do it myself. For some crazy reason painting my nails is oddly stress relieving… I’m not sure if it is the tediousness of it all or what, but the past few weeks I have been getting back into my old DIY mani-pedi habit! I put on pajamas, a movie, a face mask, pour myself a glass of wine, and get out the nail polish… it’s easily become my new favorite thing.
