A Bit of Birthday Fun + Girl Crush : Carrie Underwood

Today is my birthday (yay!) I am going to play in the park, eat cake, drink bubbly cocktails, and get the good kind of paper cuts… the ones from wrapping paper! We make birthdays (and any holiday for that matter) pretty fun around here and my SWEET husband took the day off so we could play and tonight, we are having a family dinner at my parents house out by the pool, so I’m off for a full day of festivities!!!

Oh, and…….

This week’s girl crush is Carrie Underwood… seriously, how cute is this girl? She is just the perfect mix of sweet + sexy, no?

Now onto that dress, ikat prints are making a huge come back and I love this shimmery dress with a modern twist on an ikat print. She is rocking that mod silhouette and I just love everything about this look right down to that shiny gold clutch! Since it is my birthday day and all I think Lorena Sarbu should send me over one… don’t you think!?!
