One of my favorite things to do in the Fall months is bake, but I’m always looking for recipes that I can switch up to make healthier and more whole. Lucky for me my Sister is a Pastry Chef and sends amazing recipes (and goodies) my way! One of the things I baked last week was her amazing “(better for you) Banana Bread” recipe, it was so good! My husband even took a loaf to work and said it was a hit there too!
The best part of the recipe is that it calls for egg whites, Greek yogurt, brown sugar, and whole wheat flour <— all the yummy good for you stuff!

(better for you) Banana Bread Recipe:
2 Large Ripe Bananas
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
½ Cup of Greek Yogurt
¼ Cup Canola Oil
¾ Light Brown Sugar
2 Large Egg Whites
1 Tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
½ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
¼ Tsp. Sea Salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray an 8×4″ loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside.
Banana Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together: bananas, baking soda, and yogurt. *Allow to sit while preparing the rest of the batter.*
Oil Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together: oil, sugar, egg whites, and vanilla.
Flour Mixture: In another large bowl, whisk together: flours, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and sea salt.
Then combine the banana mixture with the oil mixture and then add to the flour mixture. Pour into loaf pan and sprinkle the top with sea salt, cinnoman, and sugar.
Bake for about 45-55 mins.
Cool, slice, then enjoy!!
