ORLANDO, FLA.—Devastation. Disease. Chaos.  These are the things facing the people of Haiti this week as they began to cope with the massive destruction caused by a 7.0 earthquake that hit the impoverished nation on Tuesday.   At the same time stationery designer Ashley Quintana was busy designing her limited edition Valentine card collection.  And an idea was conceived.

“Once more and more information was coming out we began to get a glimpse of just how bad the quake was.  When you’re watching these people’s stories you feel helpless.  We started batting around some ideas at the studio of how we could help and our Haiti postcards were born,” says Ashley.

What was created was a Valentine postcard with a “spread the love” message.  The proceeds from which will be donated to help various disaster relief organizations in Haiti.  The postcards are sold in packs of 10 for $25.00 including shipping and sales tax.

“Valentines are a sweet expression of love, and I thought what better way to express our love and prayers for the people of Haiti than to use Valentines as way of raising money for their cause?” muses Ashley.

The postcards will be sold through the month of February and a donation of the proceeds will be made at the end of the month.
